The Wakefield Memorial High School Varsity Softball Team currently plays their home games at Veterans Field in Wakefield. While this can be a picturesque location when weather permits, it is a Men's Slowpitch field and not ideally suited for the Fastpitch game. There is a neglected field on the Campus of WMHS that we are proposing to be upgraded to a first-rate, regulation High School Field.
We presented our intent at the School Committee Meeting back on December 18, 2018 and were invited back for a more robust discussion at the School Committee Meeting on January 23, 2019.
