With the help of the Boston Red Sox, the Meghan Burnett Foundation held a raffle for a pair of Infield Seats and a baseball autographed by Alex Cora ( the 1st, first year Manager to win the World Series for the Red Sox, the 5th to do so in MLB history and the first as a Puerto Rican Manager). The raffle started at the WMHS Thanksgiving Day Game, went thru the Holiday stroll and finished at the WMHS Winter Concert. The drawing was held Dec 16 and the lucky winner was Maryann Collyer of Wakefield. The Meghan Burnett Foundation- a local charitable organization with the goal of enriching the high school experience through sports, music and travel while helping local students to discover their own personal potential.
